Upcoming Schedule Changes

June • July • August 2021

Our desire at Faith is to return to our pre-COVID worship schedule of one service followed by Bible Study & Sunday School. In the past month we introduced the first step toward this goal by restarting Sunday School and Adult Bible study. This has gone well and we are excited and encouraged to see people return as we continue to learn and grow in the faith as a church family.

With the recently released CDC guidelines for fully vaccinated people (May 13, 2021) along with the California Department of Public Health guidelines for mask usage (May 20, 2021) we are planning on doing the following phased approach to get back to our pre-COVID schedule. Note that all of these changes are dependent on the continued progress we are making to end the pandemic.

June 2021

We will continue with our current times for Sunday Worship (8:00am & 10:30am) and Sunday School / Bible Study (9:30am). You may watch the worship service from home on YouTube Live or attend in person. As the COVID-19 vaccine is now widely available and as many of us have already received the vaccine, we will be following the mask guidelines from the CDC and the California Department of Public Health. Starting Sunday June 20th masks will be recommended, but not required. We ask that you use your best judgement and think of your neighbor. We will not require evidence of vaccination. The doors and windows will be kept open for increased ventilation.

July 2021

We encourage you to attend in person. This will be the last month of live streamed worship services. We will continue with two worship services (8:00am & 10:30am) and Sunday School / Bible Study @ 9:30am. The services will return to the full order of worship with communion served during service. We will have 2-3 groups of people gathered around the altar to receive the gifts.

June 27 Update: Holy Communion for online viewers will now be by appointment. Please contact Pastor to setup a time.

August 2021

We will no longer provide live streaming of the worship services or Bible Studies. If you are unable to attend, the sermon and bible study will be posted on YouTube later in the day. We plan to return to our pre-COVID worship schedule - one single Sunday Worship Service @ 9:15am, followed by Sunday School & Bible Study @ 10:45am. Communion will no longer be offered after service. If you wish to have communion at other times, Pastor will be happy to schedule a time to give you communion.

A few other notes . . .

Donuts & Coffee

We will restart the Sunday donuts and coffee in June. Donuts for the kids will be set up outside. Donuts for the adults will be placed in the fellowship hall.

July 3rd Event

We are planning a modified July 3rd gathering this year to view the City of Moorpark's fireworks show. Stay tuned for more information.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Be on the lookup for more information about VBS. We plan to have VBS around the 3rd week of July. We will have a smaller VBS group and focus on the children of our congregation. You may invite your friends and neighbors. More details will be coming soon!

Pastor Vacation - August 1 & 8

Pastor Jeong & family will be taking a two week vacation at the beginning of August. He will be taking a much needed break and spending time with his family as they travel and visit Mount Rushmore. Sunday Worship Service @ 9:15am will take place when he is gone.

Mid-Week Vespers Worship

Our Wednesday evening Worship Service will be on hold starting in June. Wednesday Worship will return starting September.

Mid-Week Bible Study

The mid-week Ephesians Bible Study will continue until we finish the book of Ephesians. The next mid-week bible study will start in September.
